The Stockade is conveniently located on historic Highland Road just 4 miles from Louisiana State University. It is situated on the site of an old Union stockade which has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Reminiscent of a Mediterranean Villa, the home is spacious, comfortable, and elegant. Guest rooms are nicely appointed. One of the accommodations is a suite of two bedrooms with a bath in between which is perfect for parents traveling with children or companions who don't mind sharing a bath but prefer private rooms. The home is within walking distance to restaurants & shops. Being the capital of Louisiana, Baton Rouge has much colorful, political history. Travel to plantation country, Cajun country and New Orleans is easy since Baton Rouge is centrally located.
