The 1795 country house is situated on twelve wooded acres facing Scenic Route 169 in the historic center of Brooklyn in Northeast Connecticut's "Quiet Corner." Guests may unwind in the library filled with books and soothing classical music or in the living room with TV and VCR.

Hearty breakfasts are served on china in the dining room in front of the fireplace or on the breakfast porch overlooking stone walls and open fields. Area restaurants offer fine dining opportunities for the noon and evening meals.

Friendship Valley Inn is an easy getaway from New York City (3 hours), Boston (75 minutes), Hartford (60 minutes), and Providence (45 minutes). Travelers with the luxury of an extended holiday will find a week's worth of outings to Mystic Seaport, the Connecticut River Valley, Newport, Old Sturbridge Village, Boston, and Lexington & Concord.
