Set in 170 acres of wooded hills, Ridgetop gives you a choice of an 1830s restored log cabin with a fireplace, a Swiss-style cottage, or a guest room in the main house. There are trails and small creeks and waterfalls on the property, wildflowers in the spring and autumn color in the fall, and lots to do on the nearby Natchez Trace. The Buffalo River is nearby, and canoes can be rented for floats.



Because of its proximity to the Trace, Ridgetop is a special favorite with cyclists, and your hosts can provide information and maps. Just an hour and a half southwest of Nashville, Tenn., you’ll be convenient for a day in Music City, and nearer still to an Amish community, antebellum homes, historic sites, the Lewis County Natural and Local History Museum.
