Anton-Walsh House, Hurley, Wisconsin
Anton-Walsh House bed & breakfast inn is located in downtown Hurley, Wisconsin, within easy walking distance of restaurants, a museum, shopping and the best night life in the north woods.
This marvelously restored example of American Foursquare Craftsman architecture is decorated to show the migration of various populations to northern Wisconsin. Guests can relax in one of three theme rooms, each with a private bath. The Game Keeper's Room reflects the abundant wildelife in northern Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The Lotta Morgan Room pays tribute to a nineteenth century Hurley entertainer immortalized in Edna Ferber's "Come and Get It." And the Northern Exposure Room pays tribute to our incredible snow falls -- often reaching 300 inches in a year.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast each morning that features the riches from the dairy state and the north woods; from wild rice & cranberry pudding, to fresh jams & sauces using locally grown apples, blueberries, pears and more.
This is a great headquarters for you when exploring scores of waterfalls, hundreds of miles of trails, and the great water and wilderness unique to Lake Superior Country.
