Jones Sheep Farm Bed & Breakfast, Peabody, Kansas
Peabody Kansas Bed and Breakfast with Fishing and Swimming
Jones Sheep Farm Bed & Breakfast (click here for more info) is a small "cottage" built around 1900. It was one of many homes built in Mayesville when Calvin Mayes subdivided his 400 acre farm into small holdings to provide homes for many people coming west after the Civil War. The house is furnished in a 1920's style. There is no phone and no TV, but lots of peace and quiet. Games, magazines and a radio provide relaxation. The house is surrounded by sheep pasture and sheep, cattle, llamas and donkeys -- depending upon the season. The entire house is yours from 1pm until 11 the next morning. A country breakfast featuring home grown and home made foods is brought to the door any time between 5am and 9am. The basket is decorated with flowers and herbs from the farm and greenhouse.
