Built in 1883 with money made from moonshine, Old Spring Farm Bed and Breakfast is today a working farm located in Blue Ridge wine country. A few artifacts used in making bootleg liquor were found when in 1983, Old Spring Farm Bed and Breakfast relocated from Connecticut to Virginia in continuance of breeding a spotted horse known as an Appaloosa.
