Boardwalk Inn, Saint Ignace, Michigan

St Ignace Michigan Bed and Breakfast near Museum of Ojibwa Culture

The Area's only SMOKE-FREE Bed & Breakfast hotel.

Built in 1928 as the Travelers Hotel and is the oldest lodging establishment in St. Ignace, Michigan. The original guest registers from the years 1929 to 1934 that were found in 1992 are on display in the lobby. Efforts were made to maintain the charm and atmosphere of the old building wherever possible during the restoration. The moment you step into the lobby, with its high ceilings and open stairway, you have a feeling of stepping into an era where life was lived at a slower pace.

The guest rooms have been individually decorated as bedrooms, rather than hotel rooms, creating a more intimate feeling. All rooms have queen beds, private baths, cable television, and most have air conditioning. The Homestead room with 2 beds or the 2 Suites will each accommodate 4 persons.

The hotel is open from mid-May to mid-October. However the owners, Steve & Lanie Sauter, live on premise and a few rooms are heated all winter and are available by chance or reservation.

For Reservations call 906-643-7500 or 800-254-5408. Or write Boardwalk Inn 316 N. State St. St. Ignace MI. 49781
