 (Calculated from a total of 29 ratings) Rate this Inn Historic Banning Mills is a medium-sized country inn and conference center, sitting in the middle of 700 wooded acres with the 100' wide, rushing Snake Creek going through the middle of the property. We have 48 rooms each with private baths and most with jacuzzi/whirlpool tub. Three conference rooms are available, with seating for 225, 25, and 12, respectively. On the main floor, we have a large social gathering area with fireplace, a dining room that seats 80 to 100 and a small library with piano and billiard table. Triple decks overlook the Snake Creek. The area is rich in Creek Indian and Civil War history. The historic mill town of Banning, with its huge pulp mill ruins and Horseshoe Dam, is on the property. Some hiking trails, which parallel the creek, were the original water raceways that served seven area mills along the creek. Everyone who visits invariably comments on how beautiful and tranquil the area is. All amenities (except golf) are on the premises. We have a PREMIER HIGH/LOW ROPES TEAM BUILDING COURSE, Adventure treks, Horseback riding and Skeet, pistol and archery ranges and a Full Service Day Spa. The inn is in a secluded location, yet close to two major towns, and only 45 minutes from Atlanta. Come experience a mountain experience in the heart of West Georgia.
