Delforge Place, Fredericksburg, Texas

Your suite at The Delforge Place will be one of several inside a historic Victorian-style house, built as a one-room Sunday House in 1898 by German pioneer Ferdinand Koeppen. Today, the home retains its unique character, with original wood floors, 12-foot ceilings, beaded board, and chandeliers. Especially striking are the windows and doors of beveled, stained, and etched glass - all original and in excellent condition.

Furnished with American and European pieces, The Delforge Place is accented with antiques and family heirlooms. Guest rooms or suites offer a number of amenities, including mini refrigerators and coffee bars, and are themed according to hhistorical periods and Seelig family heritage.

Another highlight of your stay at The Delforge Place is the world-class breakfast served in the dining room. House specialties include German Sour Cream Twists, Breakfast Dumplings and seasonal foods, such as wonderful Fredericksburg peaches.

The Delforge Place is located within seven blocks of Fredericksburg's famous Main Street, where visitors can enjoy gift and antique shops, bakeries, "biergartens" and fine German and other remarkable restaurants.

As a traditional bed and breakfast, you'll stay in the home of the host, have complete privacy, and are welcome to come and go as you please.
