Ranch Grischuna is a working elk ranch in scenic northwest Colorado, located on the Elkhead River.



It is a small, intimate B&B, with an old west location and feel. The ranch house overlooks the Elkhead river and the elk pens, with a view of the Bear's Ears and Black Mountain peaks. Guests are free to explore the ranch, and meet the elk. Private fishing on the river is possible.



The Ranch is located only 35 miles from the Steamboat Springs ski and summer entertainment resort. Only 1 mile from the Elkhead Reservoir where fishing, boating, water skiing, hiking and mountain-biking can be enjoyed in summer and in the winter months, the trails are open to snowmobiles and skiers. The Ranch is also about 10 miles from Routt National Forest with unlimited possibilities for hiking, snowshoeing, and cross county skiing - just to name a few.



Moffat County itself has over 1.5 million BLM acres of expansive rolling sagebrush covered hills, semi-arid mountain peaks, spectacular sandstone canyons, whitewater rivers, wide valleys, and colorful badlands open to all types of outdoor recreational pursuits. Big game hunting and viewing is the best in the nation.



Steamboat itself offers Rodeo, Skiing, Snowshoeing, Ice Skating, Mountain Biking, Hiking, River Rafting, Para Gliding and Jeep Tour trips- just to name a few. In addition, Steamboat has a wide range of international quality restaurants and entertainment.
