We have all that and more to take you back a few years. Located just outside Mount Airy's city limits, The Thompson House opened as a Bed & Breakfast in the summer of 2001. It is a large Victorian style house that was built in 1907,and was called Thompson's Boarding House. Immigrants artisans brought over to work at the granite quarry stayed there.The house has lots of hand carved woodwork, high ceilings and many original fixtures.
