Since, the Lodge itself has been slowly transformed from a rustic hunting and fishing inn to a romantic riverfront getaway. In addition, seven cabins have been added as vacation rentals. The cabins range from riverfront to mountain, log to stone, and historic to contemporary, but they all have a private hot tub! The Cheat River Lodge and the Marshalls have earned an excellent reputation for their hospitality which has been recognized by numerous travel guides and newspapers. The Cheat River Lodge properties are located on the Cheat River in the Monongahela National Forest six miles east of Elkins, West Virginia. The lodge and cabins are situated along 4 miles of riverfront properties. Whether a naturalist, adventurist, or a sightseer, there are many interesting places nearby to explore that offer year round adventure. The Cheat River and Monongahela National Forest located adjacent to the Lodge offer unlimited venues.
