South Court Inn caters to those who want to get away and relax in an elegant but comfortable atmosphere. Tom and Anita invite you to relax and enjoy a break or celebration at this grand old Victorian, newly restored and opened as a B&B in 2000. The Inn sets in the middle of a 2-acre garden lot, well off the beaten path, in the center of historic Luray, Virginia. Guest rooms are large and feature private baths, antique furnishings, carpets and lighting, period decor, and robes and towels for use at the secluded hot tub. Two of the three bedrooms offer carved mahogany canopy beds and Victorian soaker tubs.
Guests are encourage to relax on the stone-floor wrap-around porch, in the bright sun room, or in the large, salon style living room. Just for the fun of it, the multi-course gourmet breakfast always features unusual Victorian silver and china, as well as Inn-made jams, jellies, syrups and fruit butters. China service changes 5 times each year, but the Fall color season brings out an especially noteworthy collection of china, ironstone, molds and glassware decorated with turkeys, some dating to the 1820's. December and January reservations ensure an old fashioned holiday spirit because decorations go up immediately after Thanksgiving and remain up until mid-January. Private, off-street parking provided.
