Seven Gables is an 1895 historical home located 2 blocks from downtown Mount Vernon, 90 minutes east of Dallas and one hour west of Texarkana off Interstate 30. Downtown shopping, plaza with gazebo and all museums are just a short walk. Our home is a traditional victorian with a wrap-around porch. The room and suite are furnished with antiques, tasteful accessories, monogrammed robes, thick, fluffy towels, full line of Bath & Body Works Products and each has a private bath. Beverages are always available and dessert in the evening. Awake to fresh brewed coffee outside your room, then enjoy a gourmet breakfast in the dining room at 9:00 a.m. Seven Gables was selected for the first Texas Bed and Breakfast Cookbook. We have three of our favorite breakfast recipes included in this book. Stay at Seven Gables and find out why Mount Vernon is the friendliest town in East Texas.
