Carn Brea Farm, Redruth, United Kingdom

Carn Brea - ancient Cornish beauty

You will be the only guests on Carn Brea within the unique ancient fort wall (inhabited since 4000BC). The five-acre farm is surrounded by common land and has no near neighbours apart from Carn Brea Castle (built before 1478AD), now a restaurant.

The farm was the original Carn Brea Counting House and is approximately 200 years old. The oldest parts of the house are made of local granite with walls up to four feet thick.

Carn Brea is an excellent high viewpoint being 400ft above the local towns of Redruth and Camborne. The view extends out over Cornwall to Portreath, St Ives and St Austell (30 miles away).
