Scottish guesthouse, run by a painter, with in-house' art gallery and studios and situated in the romantic seaside village of Plockton.
The Manse was built in 1860, a semi-detached 3 storey whitewashed traditional Scottish stone house built for the minister and his family. I took it over in November 2001. I am a painter and the house therefore is full of paintings and art books.The work on the walls is all for sale. We operate all year round as an 'in-house' gallery and during the summer months have major exhibitions. Plockton is one of the most beautiful and romantic villages in Scotland. Thats why I moved here...Situated on a sea loch surrounded by magnificent scenery and near the magical island of Skye, the bay is a curve of white houses with palm trees in the gardens! Strange but true. There are 3 excellent pubs serving fresh seafood, all with logfires. I have a logfire too. I offer quality and comfort in my home, my gallery and studio. You are welcome to borrow an easel and materials to try to capture the very special charm of this amazing jewel in the Scottish highlands!
