The 1932 "arts and crafts" The Lake House B&B has been lovingly renovated into two distinctly different residences: a family bass lodge, and tropical getaway paradisi (meaning grapefruit, there are 16 trees on the property). The 20 magnificent acres are an eden, with banana and citrus trees, Queen palms, rare birds, gators, two mirrorlike fishing ponds and a 600 ft. historic WWI canal used for potato farming. Lake Placid is the caladium capital of the world. Truly Florida the way it was-see snowy white egrets, blue herons, osprey, and 400 year old cypress knees in private views of Lake Istokpoga, a 26,000 acre tournament bass fishing lake. Fishing boat, pontoon and bass boat rentals are available. Modified B&B is served, fresh ingredients in your room for your own preparation, upon check in. Children are welcome.
