The original part of the house was built in the 1830s, which has an historic cast iron frontage that dates to 1888 and is noted as one of the finest existing in the state of Maryland. In the 1980s, the house was expanded with an addition of a large kitchen and large screened in porch that allowed two buildings to be joined together to create the Bed & Breakfast. Re-opened April 1997 and decorated with a theme of homey comfort. In December of 2001, the store frontage was turned into a gift shop featuring local crafters and artists works. Guests receive a discount from the two store-managing cats. Nearby activities include fishing, boating, antiquing, seafood dining and nature! Office equipment available for business travelers. Groups up to 75 welcome for events.
