We are the only Bed and Breakfast on the Ave. of the Giants. Located in the heart of the redwood forest, you can enjoy stunning views of the world's largest redwood trees right from your balcony. The inn is a historic stage stop hotel that was founded in 1867 and restored and remodeled, with private baths, air conditioning, and T.V. for all rooms, in 1989. We are AAA approved and listed in FODERS best places, Great North Coast Inns, and are a CABBI member. We offer a wide range of outdoor activities which include: boat tours of the Lost Coast, Humboldt Bay, and the Eel River; dozens of hiking/ biking trails through our local groves; guided fishing trips with our innkeeper, and massage from a local masseuse. We also offer an expanded continental breakfast as well as other dinning arrangements with the local four star restaurant. With all the fascinating attractions we recommend that you make your stay for at least four to five days to enjoy them all.

Special Offer
Located on the scenic Avenue of the Giants, the Inn is located deep in the heart of the redwoods. We have biking and hiking trails, guided or not, plus the excitement of some of the most unusual trees you'll see around: the Dyerville Giant, a giant tree that lays on the ground, the world famous Drive-Thru Redwood Tree and the rare White Albino Redwood Tree.

A filling continental breakfast will greet your day. One of the largest buffet meals of it's kind around, hot and cold cereal, fresh fruit and an array of bagels, croissants and muffins will sustain you for your day. Coffee, tea and orange juice can be enjoyed with newfound friends in the lobby or on our wrap-around veranda.

For special occasions, we'd be happy to decorate your room with flowers, balloons or stock your occasion with a bottle of fine wine, for a small fee of $20 or more.

Innkeeper Rod Moschetti, adds a warm touch to the Inn, as do his hard-working staff. Captain Rod loves doing boat tours. His enthusiasm is contagious as you enjoy motoring up the Eel River, the desolate Lost Coast, Humboldt Bay, the Klamath River or even the Rogue River in Oregon. For as little as $100, this fun-filled trip can include fishing, swimming and diving.

Guided camping trips to surrounding areas for as long as up to three full days are available. Call or ask for price information. We can take the work out of camping so you can enjoy every single moment in Nature.

Or, you can spend your days here sightseeing in the beautiful Victorian Village of Ferndale and Old Town in Eureka, only an hours north of us, shopping malls included.

For a more relaxing experience, try a deep tissue massage with Cynthia. By appointment, her healing hands will refresh you.

Our lobby is full of just about anything you'd want: quiet reflection, friendly conversation, a crackling fireplace during cold winter evenings and sometimes, an impromptu karaoke set-up. Chess, cards and other games are also available.
