Situated on 23 acres of meadow and forest, The Aerie is uniquely perched on a bluff like an eagle’s nest high above scenic Route 7, just minutes north of Manchester Center in southern Vermont. Encircled by two majestic ranges, the Green Mountains and the Taconics, our "aerie" setting affords sweeping views in every direction of Vermont’s magnificent countryside and overlooks the pristine valley in which is nestled the small New England village of East Dorset, Vermont. Complementing the four-season attractions of Manchester and the Mountains, East Dorset is the home of the annual Vermont Summer Festival Horse Show, the Bill Wilson House and the longest cave in New England. East Dorset is also known to be an integral part of the fascinating history of Dorset, Vermont’s marble industry, and the first quarry in the United States.
