Senator's Inn was built in the early 1900's by Illinois State Senator Henry M. Dunlap and his wife Nora B. Dunlap. The original farmhouse built on the property, and later moved to a different location, was part of the Underground Railroad.
The 9000 square foot colonial boasts numerous characteristics as well as some newer remodels. There are three fireplaces in the house and a stone fireplace in the attached Pub. On the main floor there are rooms available for banquet or meeting space as well as a sitting room that is wonderful for guests to gather, read or watch television. The second floor hosts 5 bedrooms available for public occupancy. One bedroom houses a private bath and queen size bed. Two bedrooms share one adjoining bath and two rooms share a hall bath. Two bedrooms also have whirlpools in the room.
Rooms are available 7 days a week, all year round and our Pub is open Tuesday through Sunday, open early on weekends.
