Come stay with us in the Astoria area of Queens, the most ethnically diverse borough of New York. Only 4 subway stops and a 10 minute walk from midtown Manhattan! Take a break from the bustle of the city, return to a calm leafy street in a safe residential area. We live in a 1950s red brick house typical for that period and the area, extensively remodeled in 2000. The guestroom has a separate entrance, ample morning sun, and there is a private bathroom for our guests (new Queen size sofa bed, extra mattress on the floor possible). Coffee/tea maker, microwave, fridge in room. Laundromat, supermarket, bagel shop, news agent, cash machine right around the corner, other facilities also in walking distance.
