Redcliffe House is a convict-built 1835 property that stands on thirteen acres bordering the Meredith River on Tasmania's spectacular East Coast. The hand-split weatherboards of the house are held together with hand-forged nails. Inside the peak roof, the original shingles remain.





Surrounded by a beautiful old English garden, fruit trees and vineyard, we are only minutes from pristine white beaches, excellent fishing and sightseeing.





Redcliffe House is an ideal base for visiting local attractions and nearby towns. By day, experience our local history & heritage, lifestyle & culture, outdoor adventure, wilderness wildlife, wine & food ... or just laze about. There's as much, or as little, as you want to see and do ... and something for everyone, no matter which direction you take.





At night, return to a peaceful haven where you will be able to relax in comfort, visit a local restaurant or catch up on other things over a glass of port or sherry. Light meals are available by prior arrangement.
