Le Manoir De Rieu, Ste Marguerite d'elle, France
Normandy bed and breakfast
This 17th century property is situated in the area known as St Laurent de Rieu. Once a thriving village with a commune of monks all that now remains is the manor house and the neighbouring farm.
In the time of Napolean a coach house was built in the grounds. This was used as an overnight halt for passengers travelling from Cherbourg to Paris. The coach house is currently undergoing restoration.
The surrounding area is traditional farmland, giving a tranquil background to a memorable setting.
The manor has been carefully restored and now offers to visitors en - suite accomodation in rooms of generous proportions. Guests are afforded privacy and comfort, with a choice of relaxing at home or touring the region.
