Big Island rain forest bed and breakfast near Hilo Hawaii
Wake to the sound of rain forest birds in our spacious Big Island home. The three-acre yard includes hundreds of orchids naturalized on Ohia trees, palm trees, coffee, macadamia nut, citrus, breadfruit, papaya, bananas, pineapple, heliconia, ginger and numerous other tropical plants.
Breakfast includes local and home grown fruit, cereal (including our own granola recipe), homemade muffins, Hawaiian honey and jam, juice, tea and coffee. We feature local Hawaiian coffee. Macadamia nuts from our orchard are available. Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Our hot tub is in a rock wall enclosed courtyard that includes a pond and waterfall.
With vaulted ceilings and plenty of windows, the space is bright, airy and decorated with high quality art from local and international artists. Blooming orchids are always on site.
On the lower level we have a workshop and studio space for guest use. Art supplies, equipment, and classes are available.
Marklyn is fluent in German.
