If you are looking for a less-crowded alternative to the Great Smoky Mountains, enjoy the discovery of the beautiful Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. Pointe View Lodge, located next to Pickett State Park and Big South Fork National Park, lies on top of a mountain overlooking a scenic gorge with hiking trails and ATV trails.
Pointe View Lodge can accommodate up to 16 overnight guests or 30 plus people for meetings. Our three story lodge features a main level with a spacious great room, having three separate meeting areas. With high ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and windows offering views of breathtaking scenery, this room is the focal point of the lodge. Additionally, the main floor has two master bedroom suites, richly furnished with imported mahogany furniture. The large main floor opens onto a deck for a spectacular view.
Upstairs, just past the leisure loft, are three additional guest rooms and two baths. These bedrooms are furnished with either queen or two twin beds. The lower level consists of two large sleeping rooms and two baths. Each of these rooms opens out onto the Pointe View grounds.
For the outdoor enthusiast or for the urban individualist seeking a moment with nature, Pointe View Lodge is a place of infinite possibilities. And unlike other natural attractions, Pointe View has not been spoiled by commercial tourism but remains a quiet and secluded refuge.
It is very rare to find such a rugged scenic area with so much to offer. The area abounds with opportunities for hiking, backpacking, paddling, rafting, horseback riding, camping, mountain biking, caving, climbing, hunting, fishing, photography, and sightseeing.
From easy afternoon strolls and summer picnics to backpacking along the cliffs and running the river's rapids, Pointe View Lodge is a place to lose one's self with inner thoughts, with nature, and with the rich geological and cultural histories.
Pointe View Lodge is positioned to give maximum accessibility to the surrounding area's greatest natural wonders. Organizations that benefit most from our location include, bicycle clubs, rafting and canoe clubs, hunters, 4 wheel and offroad groups, businesses, and families on vacation.
