An ideal base for touring Florence 25 mins, Siena 1 hour, Lucca 45 mins, Pisa 50 mins and San Gimignano 45 mins. A time when guests study their guide books and swap information with other guests on good places to eat or visit before begining their daily excursions. The villa has four large bedrooms, two of the rooms have private bathrooms and two bedrooms share one bathroom. To avoid impossible parking in Florence we recommend the train ride, which takes 25 minutes and runs alongside the River Arno. For guests travelling without a car we offer a free lift to the train station of Empoli after breakfast where they can easily travel to all major towns. There are nice family trattoria's nearby, one of which serves an unusual local Tuscan dish of 'Gnocchi with stinging nettle leaves'.
