The Charles C. Richards House Historic Bed and Breakfast was built in 1893 in the Queen Anne Revival Style as a private home for the President of the Minards Liniment Company. One of two brick mansions ever built in the Province of Nova Scotia, this awards winning restoration honors its late Victorian architecture while its interior décor highlights the art deco craze of the 1930’s and 40’s.
Situated in the heart of Yarmouth’s Heritage Conservation District, this Provincially registered historic property is only steps to all local attractions including Main Street, Museums, Waterfront, and is next door to our sister property the MacKinnon-Cann Inn making this Nova Scotia Bed and Breakfast the perfect destination for the history buff and museum going traveler. A member of the Nova Scotia Bed and Breakfast Association this 4 ½ star accommodation ranks high on list of the finest stays in the Province. (Fodor’s Guide)
We have three beautifully appointed guest rooms all with private baths. Themed in honor of the Richards family and decorated in period furnishings this fine bed and breakfast is sure to offer something for everyone. Our covered veranda allows for an experience of the great Nova Scotian summer evenings.
