Close, yet wonderfully removed from Maui's hotel / resort beachfront crowds, the banyan bed and breakfast simply overflows with peace and Hawaii-ana. Giant banyan, monkeypod and jacaranda trees create a peaceful, shady oasis amidst the fruit trees, flowers and sunny, wide open lawns.
This historic plantation property, known as the "Banyan Tree House" was originally built in 1927. Our vacation accommodations include the house with 3 large bedrooms/ suites as well as four individual, spacious cottages. The new Ginger Cottage has recently been designed and renovated to be a comfortable accommodation for guests requiring wheel chair access and their caregiver. The Banyan Tree House is in an ideal central location for touring Maui. Just a mile through the pineapple fields you will find shops, restaurants, art galleries, food and health stores, spas, library and more can all be found in the friendly little town of Makawao.
