Southern Vermont Bed and Breakfast - Old Brick Tavern B&B
The Old Brick Tavern was built in 1792 and has just undergone a beautiful renovation. This vintage brick house has served as a tavern, dance hall, antique shop and the residence of a silent movie actress. The town of Townshend and the barn on our property were featured in the 1988 Chevy Chase film Funny Farm. Our bedrooms feature queen-size beds, oriental carpets, and private bathrooms. All bathrooms have double-sink vanities, deep soaking tubs, walk-in showers and luxury soaps and lotions. Dressing gowns, slippers and hair dryers are also provided. Relax in the inn’s common areas. Our elegant living room offers HDTV on a 52” screen and a large selection of movies for our guests’ enjoyment. The library is furnished in rich leather sofas and antiques. There is a large selection of reading material for guests to peruse. An epicurean breakfast is served every morning between 7:30 and 9:30.Come and visit our beautifully restored red brick Federal home built in 1792 located on Vermont’s most photographed common.
