Our Inn is located in the quaint mountain town of Buchanan, Virginia-right next to The James River-known as 'The Gateway to the Shenandoah Mountains'. Our home is an 1840 two-story brick Federal-style' home that once was the residence of Commodore William C. Whittle, Sr. of the Confederate Navy. The rooms are richly decorated in pre & post Victorian decor with silk draped ceilings, period-era window dressings, antique furnishings, and original hardwood floors w/oriental carpets. Our dining area is set in Federal-style decor serving over 30 kinds of teas in antique teapots/cups with linens, silverware & china. We also offer a full service restaurant specializing in authentic German cuisine and featuring Salmon, Lamb & Italian specials. Conveniently located just off of I-81 20 minutes south of historic Lexington, VA and 25 minutes north of Roanoke, VA. See for yourself what relaxing mountain living is all about!
