The Evans-Cantrell House is a bed and breakfast located in Fort Valley, Georgia in the heart of Peach County. Owned and managed by Greg and Marti Combs, the B&B is a Italian Renaissance Revival house which was built circa 1916. The magnificent home is listed in the national register of historical places. Restored and preserved, the home especially appeals to guests who desire to experience the nostalgic ambiance of the historical south in a stately mansion. The Evans-Cantrell House’s architectural style features Colonial Revival influenced porches and Craftsman-influenced eaves and windows. The beautiful carved stone fireplace in the parlor, several original lighting fixtures and many original window panes enhance the home’s appeal.
The home is filled with antiques and period reproduction furnishings. Guests may enjoy common areas such as a parlor, well-stocked library, large veranda and peaceful garden. Four guest rooms plus a suite with a sitting room come with sitting areas with desks, nightly turn down service and private baths. A full breakfast is included with an overnight stay.
