Owl'S Nest Inn At Engadine, Asheville, North Carolina

Owl's Nest Inn at Engadine was built in 1885 by Captain John Hoyt in the mountains just outside of Asheville. The house originally named Engadine, has been restored and decorated to maintain its Victorian character and charm. The inn sits elegantly on almost 12 acres, thus allowing beautiful mountain views. Owl's Nest Inn was added to the name in 1995. The living room has a fireplace and a television for your enjoyment. Outside there are wrap-around porches, a patio and benches in the meadow for enjoying the breathtaking mountain views. The five guest rooms are spacious, comfortable and have the ambiance of a Victorian home along with modern conveniences such as central air conditioning and ceiling fans. All rooms have sitting areas and private baths. We have king, queen, and twin beds available. A full breakfast is served by the fireplace in the formal paneled dining room. Complimentary wine reception is served every evening in the formal living room. Marg and Gail's culinary specialties include fresh frozen fruit cups, Blueberry and Raspberry Delight, cheese stuffed French toast, buttermilk pecan pancakes, and sticky buns, along with Gail's famous cheese grits and potatoes. We also serve afternoon refreshments of home-baked cookies, apple crisp bake, pumpkin bars and homemade lemon bars.
