Seldovia Alaska Bed and Breakfast near Summer Solstice Music Festival
Swan House South was purchased by Jerry and Judy Swanson in September 1994, and completed in 2001. The construction of the over 3,500 square foot home began in 1980 by the original owners, who had plans for a summer home only. The home was approximately 40 per cent complete when the Swansons bought it and decided this was the perfect setting for a bed and breakfast. The house is located high above the water with multi-level decks that rise above the tidal slough and views that never end.
All five guest suites have a wonderful view, whether it be the mountains or the water, and are decorated with custom shades (room darkening) and curtains. The top level has three lovely rooms, all private baths with tiled floors and modern fixtures. The top floor rooms are suites with their own sitting rooms, two with private decks that look out over the water. All of the suites have comfortable queen-size Serta beds; one has a king log bed. The main level has a larger suite with a bathroom with shower and a bathtub. Plush monogrammed bathrobes and slippers are provided for our guest's use.
Transportation:
We can arrange your transportation across Kachemak Bay from Homer for you. We highly recommend flying over on Smokey Bay Air. The cost is $28.50 per person each way. You can add a flight-see trip for an additional $20.00 per person.
During your stay at Swan House South, we suggest taking Rainbow Tours Whale Watching cruise out of Seldovia daily.

Our newest addition is a secluded gazebo with a hot tub that is nestled in the trees above the water with a spectacular view of the bay and mountains. A romantic setting, if there ever was one!
Bald eagles can often be seen soaring by in search of a salmon. There are plenty of books to read, board games, telescopes to view wild life, and comfortable modern leather sofas and recliners to sit and relax.
