Red Fox Country Inn, located on fifteen rolling acres near Danville, Ohio in scenic Knox County, was built during the 1830's. The Inn has been completely renovated and its guest rooms are newly decorated with Amish woven rugs, wallpapers reminiscent of its period and furnished with antiques.
Enjoyment of our fine food is enhanced by the 18th and 19th century antiques surrounding the guest. The full breakfast includes home-baked pastry, seasonal fresh fruit and freshly ground coffee. It can feature waffles, stuffed french toast, egg dishes, meats or crepes. Low fat, low cholesterol dishes are available on request. Dinners include soup, salad, rolls, entree, beverage and dessert. Among the entrees, which vary nightly, are steak, seafood, poultry and pasta dishes.
Guests can relax on the front porch and enjoy the view from the swing or comfortable chairs. They can indulge in a snack at the turn-of-the-century ice cream table, listen to the birds sing and watch the Amish neighbors drive by. Coffee, tea, soft drinks and home-made cookies are always available. Those desiring exercise can stroll the property, or play croquet or badminton.
In spring, guests experience the beauty of the dogwood, magnolia, and crab apple trees. In summer, the lawn abounds with roses, annuals, and perennials. In fall, the foliage on the maple, oak, chestnut, and other trees surrounding the Inn is spectacular.
