Experience the romance of rustic western living and breathtaking scenic views at Summer Lake Bed and Breakfast Inn, a unique setting on 640 acres. Tucked between the majastic 8,000 ft. Winter Ridge mountains and misty Summer Lake, the inn is 90 miles east of Crater Lake and 60 miles north of Lakeview. Ten miles across and 20 miles long, Summer Lake is a study in desert ecology and sits beneath a sky rich with brilliant constellations, visible through the crisp, clear high desert air. Hand-built over 22 years and opened for business in 1990, the Inn offers the warmth of natural woods, audubon art, local Indian motifs, and the "big Sur" building construction of the late 60's and 70's.
Three newly-built cedar cabins feature baths with a jacuzzi for two, private decks, skylights, upstairs bedrooms with thick futon beds and luxurious down comforters. Our front is a fishing pond, reflecting magnificant sunrise, for fly fishermen catch and release only. Indian petroglyphs, birding, hiking, eco-tourism, photography, and a mineral springs top a long list of daytime pleasures. Days begin and end with good company and delicious home-style dishes at the main house.
