Sage & Cactus Village, Lusk, Wyoming
Guests who stay at the Sage and Cactus Village have a very unique and different bed-and-breakfast experience as they sleep in a Sioux Indian Tepee and eat a hearty western breakfast that is cooked and served outdoors. The tepees are furnished with foam rubber mattresses and sleeping bags with sheet liners and Indian blankets. Cottonwood stumps with enamel washbasins are in each tepee.
The Village is located on a bluff overlooking the Cheyenne River in eastern Wyoming. No doubt the location of the Village may have been on the same spot that was occupied by Plains Indians over a century ago. Guests have an incomparable panoramic view of the surrounding area.
In the evening the guests relax around a campfire where they can enjoy the fresh air and a beautiful star-painted sky. Coffee, hot chocolate, and roasted marshmallows are furnished. The morning sun, singing birds, or the aroma of brewing coffee awaken the guest.
Three different sizes of tepees can accommodate families from two to eight persons. Children of all ages and pets are welcome. We request no alcoholic beverages.
