Set in the Texas Hill country with the spring-fed Guadalupe River flowing by, The Haven River Inn presides over 23 acres of pecan trees, a beautiful grape arbor overlooking the goldfish pond, an historic gazebo, and a crystal blue swimming pool. The graceful main house has thirteen guest rooms upstairs--all have private baths, and either two twin or a king-sized bed--and a single handicapped accessible room with bath on the ground floor.
The commercial kitchen provides food preparation for the 60-seat dining porch which lines the exterior of the ground floor; weather permitting, dining can flow out onto the extensive wrap-around verandah. Vintage parlor and formal dining rooms provide meeting places which accommodate up to 50 people.
Less than 45 minutes from San Antonio, the Inn offers indoor relaxation in the original billiard room intact with antique scoreboard, cues and chairs focused around the early 19th century Brunswick and Balk table.
Beyond the pool, the Guadalupe River is a short downhill walk-- both placid, then exuberant after traversing our dam. A lazy afternoon's fishing, or brisk aerobic walk over the meadow trail may be enjoyed.
