Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Inn dates to 1871 along with much of the intact nineteeenth century neighborhood in which it resides. The twenty square blocks of the Oakwood District display a colorful array of architectural styles, from Greek Revival to 'steamboat' Gothic.
