Welcome to The Hichborn Inn, located in mid-coast Maine, at the head of beautiful Penobscot Bay. Many of our guests have taken advantage of the Inn's central location as their home base, while enjoying day trips to Acadia National Park, Camden and many points in between. The Inn is found on a quiet side street, just off busy Coastal Route 1.
This Italianate style Victorian Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and remains much the same as it was when shipbuilder N.G. Hichborn and his family lived here in the mid 1800's.
Our guests sleep on fine linens in antique beds of brass, walnut or rosewood. Rooms with private baths offer distant views of Penobscot Bay. The Inn provides fluffy robes for use by our guests in the rooms that share a bath. Breakfast of the day is elegantly served at individual tables on the spacious sunporch, or, during the colder months, in the formal dining room beside a cozy fire.
The Inn is open during all seasons, however advance reservations are required December through April.
