Remember the song "Over the River and Through the Woods to Grandmother's House We Go?" That reminds me of the kind of atmosphere we celebrate here at The Barking Barn Farm. Jim and I are thrilled to be real grandparents. As children, neither of us knew our own grandparents so our whole frame of reference is purely storybook. We don't spoil our grandchildren. Rather, we enjoy our time with them.
This gives you an idea of the flavor of our Bed and Breakfast. The guest house here at the farm is not filled with precious antiques and delicate nicknacks. It is a real house for real people. If grape juice gets spilled on the carpet, we don't fret. We have a great carpet service that has cleaned every kind of stain our own little ones have introduced. For the winter, extra mittens and boots are on hand as well as sleds, for warmer weather we have riding toys and bikes. We try to anticipate the unexpected and make the time here the stuff that happy memories are made of.
