Alexander House, West, Mississippi
West Mississippi Bed and Breakfast near Casey Jones Railroad Museum
The Alexander House, circa 1880, restored in 1994, provides the ultimate in a memorable experience. Its amenities, to mention just a few, include beautiful and comfortable accommodations, bounteous and sumptuous breakfasts, renowned charcoal filet mignon steak dinners with Bananas Foster for dessert(by reservation), a hundred year old “Honeymoon Cottage” furnished with antiques and collectibles, period herb and flower gardens, and a host and hostess who guarantee guests as much or as little attention as they desire.
Guests have free run of the house--your home away from home. A tour of the house, a getting-to-know-each-other session, and refreshments are first in order upon arrival. TV and VCR are provided on the upstairs landing of the main house, and there are interesting and decorative vignettes in every nook and cranny.
The Alexander House is located 3 miles off I-55 in the village of West, Mississippi, located between Memphis and Jackson, Mississippi, about 4 hours from New Orleans. Rates are $65 plus tax in the main house, and $85 for the two-room cottage which sleeps two, or $110 for four (queen size studio couch).
