Mansion Inn, New Hope, Pennsylvania
The Mansion Inn, built in 1865, sits on the busy Main Street of historic New Hope, Pennsylvania. Secluded behind a wonderful grapevine iron fence the sunny yellow and white manor home is a magnificent example of Baroque Victorian Architecture of the Second French Empire. There are nine rooms and suites, some with fireplaces, single or double whirlpool tubs and king size canopy beds. All accommodations have private bathrooms. The feeling in the house is one of luxury.
Beds are visions in white, each featherbedded and dressed in the finest linens, down comforters and an abundance of pillows. A fresh rose on the night table, excellent lamps for reading and turndown cookies encourage retreat and relaxation.
Awake to an early morning coffee tray and daily newspaper left outside your door and prepare yourself for a sumptuous gourmet breakfast including a bountiful buffet of breads and muffins baked daily, as well as seasonal fruit and homemade granola. Hot entrees are served at individual tables beside a warm fireplace with endless cups of coffee or perhaps a "proper pot of tea."
The Mansion Inn is delight to the eye. A large collection of antique clocks, depression glass and an endless variety of first editions can be found throughout the house and in each guest room. The staff is always at your service.
