Merridun is an elegant, yet comfortable, antebellum mansion listed on the National Register. It is city close: only a 5 minute walk to downtown Union; yet country quiet: the Inn is located in the center of nine wooded acres.
You'll sense the hospitality as you stroll up to the marbled verandas beneath the many white Corinthian columns. Despite its initial overwhelming size, the manison is cozy and inviting. As you enter the richness of the surroundings and Merridun's 142 year-old history rush to welcome you--14 foot ceilings, the stunning curved stairway--you wonder if Scarlett or a bride may appear at any time.
