A National Historic Place located on an Indian campground among 100 year old live oak trees in the heart of Salado. Easy walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Dating from the 1850's, the house was the residence of Levi Tenney, a Presbyterian minister and the first principal of Salado College. The house is Greek Revival style typical of the era with large rooms and tall ceilings. The beautifully crafted 16 inch walls are made from native limestone. Antiques and furnishings throughout the home add a rustic feeling that takes you back to Salado's pioneer days.
