Dave and Lucy Downs invite you to come Down Home. At the Down Home B&B, "twixt the Tooth and the Knob" near the Appalachain Trail, you will enjoy a casual home-stay atmosphere offering two guest rooms and a full breakfast. The "Peace and Plenty Room" has a Pennsylvania Dutch decor, featuring an 1848 family coverlet. "The Woods Room" is decorated so hikers don't feel too far from the forest. Both rooms have queen-sized beds and their own baths (detached). There is ample space for relaxing in the separate guest living room, dining area, and around the deck and patio, which overlook Catawba Mountain. Our outdoor pool is open from May to September. Guests visiting Thursday through Sunday may dine at the Home Place Restaurant, one half mile from our Bed and Breakfast.
