Built in 1833, The Beal House Inn, buil tin 1833 in the Colonial federal style, has been welcoming guests since 1938. Since then the antiques have been complemented by upgraded rooms and suites, all with private bath and added amenities. The two room Suites have four poster beds, Satellite TV, coffeemakers, mini bar/refrigerators,luxurious bath robes, fireplaces, 2 person Jacuzzi or Clawfoot tubs and some with phone/internet access. All the guestrooms have comfortable down duvets, four poster beds and CD Player/alarms. The Inn's popular fine dining restaurant is open to the public and features "Global Cuisine without Boundaries" such as Lamb Shank with 5 peppercorn sauce over creamy gorgonzola polenta, Seafood Ciopino in a spicy marinara sauce, Filet of Red Snapper sauteed with fresh bananas and Caribbean Rum. The bread and desserts are all made in-house and might include a dark chocolate cake with a core of bittersweet chocolate, nestled on a bed of raspberry sauce or the Inn's personal take on the classic tarte tatin :an apple mango upside down tarte, served with french vanilla ice cream and a ginger caramel sauce.
