Aldrich Guest House, Galena, Illinois
This brick Greek Revival home was built in 1845 by Illinois State Representative Cyrus Aldrich. Many prominent figures including U.S. Grant, Abe Lincoln and Mark Twain were entertained in it's "spacious double parlor." Close to all historic sites and Main Street, the Aldrich is a perfect location to experience Galena and its history. While staying here, the history and ambiance of the home remind you of times when such historical figures enjoyed its warmth and hospitality. The same warmth and hospitality is extended to each of our guests today.
