Located on 40 beautifully-wooded acres, the Iron River Trout Haus is a renovated 1892 home in a lodge style tradition with a relaxing atmosphere. The Iron River runs through the property attracting abundant wildlife which can be watched from the breakfast table which overlooks the trout ponds. Guests have a choice of 4 themed rooms - the Trout, Bird, Railroad and Logging rooms. The house is decorated with wildlife/indigenous artwork and artifacts from Ron's scientific expeditions around the world. Iron River sits in the center of Bayfield County which is well known for all types of outdoor recreation, making the Trout Haus perfect for day-tripping. The Trout Haus also offers trout fee fishing on its ponds, fly-fishing instruction and is close to the famous Brule and White rivers. Crossing the driveway is the Tri-County Corridor which can be used for year around recreation vehicles, bicyclers and hikers. Guests can walk into town, which is only two blocks away. Breakfasts are extraordinary, including Cindy's award winning muffins, served by Ron, the "Tropical Scandinavian". A Trout Breakfast(catch your own!) is included with a 2 night stay.
