French Quarter Lanaux House, New Orleans, Louisiana
New Orleans Louisiana Bed and Breakfast near LongueVue House
The French Quarter Lanaux House was constructed in 1879. Its Italianate style makes it a favorite background for movies filmed in New Orleans. Pierre Lanaux was a prominent merchant whose family owned this home for generations. Your host first saw the home when she was 17 years old and fell in love with it instantly. Yet, it was not until years later she had the opportunity to purchase it. Her renovation of the main house includes the return of original pieces and warrants the high regard it receives. Guests are invited to a tour of the home which chronicles details of the furnishings, restoration and even the story of a ghost. The four lovely suites are comfortably appointed and each has a private bath and kitchenette.
